Career Beach

DKB Beach Cup 2011

With his team partner Stefan Windscheif , the native of Munich and graduated engineer formed one of the best German teams from 2010 to 2013.

At the FIVB World Tour tournament in Manama 2008, Dollinger and his playing partner Stefan Windscheif defeated the Polish team Fijalek / Prudel in two sets in the small final. The German beach volleyball duo had previously lost in the qualification against the Czechs Biza / Rotrekl, but came into the main field as a " lucky loser " after some teams were canceled . At the last world series tournament in Sanya (China) in 2008 , Dollinger / Windscheif took ninth place. Sebastian Dollinger's playing partner for 2009 was initially Thomas Kaczmarek from TV Rottenburg , before Dollinger played the last FIVB tournament of the year in Sanya with Windscheif. The two were even able to improve their good position from 2008 in the same place and came in seventh.

At the beginning of 2010 an international placement among the top eight was only achieved at the fifth tournament of the year in Moscow . With fifth place, the two Germans achieved their second-best result ever at an FIVB adult tournament. After the end in Gstaad at the end of the group phase, despite a better set ratio and ball quotient compared to an opponent, it took until the penultimate tournament in the world series before the athletes of Hamburger SV were able to place themselves in the front field again. In Mariehamn , the two Germans finished seventh after four wins and two defeats. Stefan Windscheif and Sebastian Dollinger finished fourth at the German championships on Timmendorfer Strand .

After winning the tournament in Cologne in 2011

At the first tournament of the FIVB Tour in Brasilia in 2011 , the native of Munich and his partner could not win. Things went a little better in Shanghai with 17th place and in Prague with thirteenth place in the overall ranking. After being eliminated from qualifying at the Grand Slam in Beijing , the two athletes from the Hamburg sports club reached the main round at the World Championships in Rome with one defeat against Ferramenta / Pedro from Brazil and two wins against the Russians Barsuk / Yutvalin and the Ingrosso twins from Italy. After a victory over the Swiss Gabathuler / Schnider , the two Germans then narrowly failed with 21:23 in the third set against the later vice world champions Ricardo / Márcio Araújo and finished ninth. Dollinger / Windscheif were able to achieve this placement again in Moscow . In the other tournaments they either lost in the German qualifying against Böckermann / Urbatzka ( Gstaad and Stare Jablonki ) or failed in the qualification ( Stavanger and Klagenfurt ). At the Åland Open , Dollinger / Windscheif were directly qualified for the main field and finished in seventeenth place. The following weekend, Hamburg took part in the German championship and defeated Huth / Lüdike , Kaczmarek / Walkenhorst , Brink / Reckermann and in the semifinals Klemperer / Koreng . In the second duel with the reigning European champions Brink and Reckermann, Sebastian Dollinger and Stefan Windscheif were defeated and thus became German runners-up.

In 2012 Dollinger / Windscheif were third at the German Championships after several ninth places in the FIVB World Tour . Dollinger / Windscheif achieved fifth place at the 2013 European Championship in Klagenfurt . At the German championship in 2013 they came third again. Then the two separated. Dollinger has since played alongside Lars Flüggen . At the German championship in 2014 , Dollinger / Flüggen took third place. Dollinger finished fifth with Marcus Popp at the FIVB Grand Slam in Sao Paulo .

End of career

In 2015 he started with Thomas Kröger on the national Smart Beach Tour and then ended his volleyball sport. Dollinger collected around 172,222 US dollars in prize money during his career as a beach volleyball player.
