Silecki Folwark ( German  Gut Schülzen , also: Klein Schülzen ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Srokowo (Drengfurth) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ).

Geographical location

Silecki Folwark is located in the northern center of the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship, 14 kilometers northeast of the district town of Kętrzyn ( German  Rastenburg ).

history

The former estate, called Schülzen C around 1800, was located 1.8 kilometers south of the village of Schülzen ( Silec in Polish ) in the East Prussian district of Rastenburg . In 1820, Schülzen C and the Klein Schülzen Vorwerk had 32 residents. In 1874 it was incorporated into the newly established district of Salzbach ( Solanka in Polish ).

In 1885 the Schülzen estate had 33 inhabitants, and in 1905 it had 13. Until 1904 it belonged to the registry office Fürstenau (Polish: Leśniewo ), then until 1945 to the registry office Drengfurth ( Srokowo ). On September 30, 1928, the manor district Schülzen C was incorporated into the rural community Schülzen ( Silec ).

When the whole of southern East Prussia was transferred to Poland in 1945 as a result of the war , Schülzen and its Gut Schülzen district were also affected. Gut Schülzen was given the Polish form of the name “Silecki Folwark”, but is not independent today, but is “część wsi Silec” ( German  “part of the village of Silec” ) and as such belongs to the rural community of Srokowo (Drengfurth) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ), until 1998 the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then assigned to the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship .

church

Until 19345 Gut Schülzen was parish in the Evangelical Parish Church of Drengfurth in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic St. Catherine's Church in Rastenburg with the Drengfurth branch chapel in what was then the Diocese of Warmia .

Today Silecki Folwark belongs on the Catholic side to the Holy Cross Church Srokowo and the Christ the King 's Church in Radzieje (Rose Garden) , as well as to the Evangelical Church Srokowo , a branch church of the Johanneskirche Kętrzyn in the diocese of Masuria of the Evangelical Augsburg Church in Poland .
