Lipowo is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Srokowo (Drengfurth) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ).

Lipowo is located in the northern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, 16 kilometers northeast of the district town of Kętrzyn ( German  Rastenburg ). The place is "część wsi Kosakowo " ("a part of the village Kosakowo" (Marienthal) ) within the rural municipality of Srokowo.

There is no evidence of the history of the place, not even on the question of whether it had a German name before 1945. It is therefore also possible that the place was founded after 1945.

In terms of church, Lipowo is oriented towards Srokowo: to the Catholic parish of Srokowo in the Archdiocese of Warmia and to the Evangelical Church of Srokowo , a branch church of the Kętrzyn parish in the Masurian diocese of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .

You get to Lipowo on a partly impassable side road that leads from Kosakowo (Marienthal) to Wólka Jankowska (Marienwalde) . There is no connection to rail traffic .
