Dolny Siniec ( German Groß Blaustein (village) ) is a small place in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Srokowo (rural community Drengfurth ) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ).
Geographical location
Dolny Siniec is located northwest of the Lazy Lake ( Jezioro Mażańskie in Polish ) in the northern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, eleven kilometers northeast of the district town of Kętrzyn ( German Rastenburg ).
history
The village of Great Blaustein (it's the same Gutsort United Blaustein Polish ( Siniec to differ)) was 1874 in the newly established District incorporated Blaustein, of the county Rastenburg in the administrative district of Kaliningrad in the Prussian province of East Prussia belonged. In 1885 the village of Groß Blaustein had 115 inhabitants, in 1905 there were 77 and in 1910 76.
On September 30, 1928, Groß Blaustein (village), Groß Blaustein (Gut) ( Siniec in Polish ), Klein Blaustein (Sińczyk-Leśniczówka) and Langeneck (Kąty) merged to form the new rural municipality of Blaustein (Siniec).
1945 United Blaustein was in consequence of the war along with the entire southern East Prussia to Poland handed over and received the Polish form of the name "Dolny Siniec". Today it is "część wsi Siniec" ( German "part of the village Siniec" ) within the rural community of Srokowo (Drengfurth) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ), until 1998 of the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then part of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship .

Until 1945 the village of Groß Blaustein was parish in the Protestant Church of Schwarzstein in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic St. Catherine's Church in Rastenburg in the then diocese of Warmia .
Today Dolny Siniec belongs to the Catholic parish of Czerniki in the current Archdiocese of Warmia as well as to the Evangelical Johanneskirche Kętrzyn with the branch church Srokowo in the diocese of Masuria of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .

Dolny Siniec is located on a side road that leads from Siniec (Groß Blaustein (Gut) , 1928 to 1945 Blaustein) on Voivodeship Road 650 to Gmina Kętrzyn (rural municipality Rastenburg ) to Mażany (Masehnen) and Parcz (Partsch) . There is no connection to rail traffic .
