Księży Dwór ( German Fürstenhof ) is a place in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship within the Gmina Srokowo (rural community Drengfurth ) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ).

Geographical location

Księży Dwór is located in the northern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , 17 kilometers northeast of the district town of Kętrzyn ( German Rastenburg ).

history

The small estate Fürstenhof was founded in 1852. On the date of December 29, 1852, the "Official Gazette of the Royal Prussian Government in Königsberg" 1853, No. 2, Ordinance No. 10: The name Fürstenhof has been added to the dismantling that took place in the Rastenburg district on the field mark of the royal village of Fürstenau . Until 1945, Fürstenhof was a residential area in the community of Fürstenau ( Polish: Leśniewo ) in the East Prussian district of Rastenburg . In 1885 the small estate had 25 inhabitants, in 1910 only 9.

1945 Fürstenhof was in consequence of the war with the entire southern East Prussia to Poland handed over and received the Polish form of the name "Księży Dwór". Today the place is "część wsi Leśniewo" ("part of the village Leśniewo") and a no longer independent place in the network of the rural community Srokowo (Drengfurth) in the powiat Kętrzyński (district Rastenburg ), until 1998 of the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then the Voivodeship of Warmia -Masures associated.

Until 1945, Fürstenhof was parish in the Protestant parish church of Drengfurth in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic Church Rastenburg with the Drengfurth branch chapel .

Today Księży Dwór belongs to the Catholic parish Srokowo in the Archdiocese of Warmia and to the Evangelical Church Srokowo , a branch church of the Johanneskirche Kętrzyn in the Diocese of Masuria of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .

Księży Dwór can be reached via a side road that leads from Srokowo to Surwile (Serwillen) . There is also an overland road from Leśniewo (Fürstenau) to the village. There is no connection to rail traffic .
