Siniec-Cegielnia ( German brickworks Groß Blaustein ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Srokowo (Drengfurth) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ).

Geographical location

Siniec-Cegielnia is located in the northern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, twelve kilometers northeast of the district town of Kętrzyn ( German Rastenburg ).

history

Until 1928, the Groß Blaustein brickworks was a residential area within the Groß Blaustein estate , which then became part of the rural community of Blaustein . In 1905 the Groß Blaustein brickworks had eight residents.

In 1945, as a result of the war, the Groß Blaustein brickworks together with the entire southern East Prussia was transferred to Poland and was given the Polish form of name "Siniec-Cegielnia". Today he is "część wsi Siniec" ("part of the village Siniec") within the rural community Srokowo (Drengfurth) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ), until 1998 the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship .

Until 1945 the brickworks Groß Blaustein was parish in the Protestant Church Schwarzstein ( Polish: Czerniki ) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic St. Katharinen Church in Rastenburg in the then diocese of Warmia .

Today Siniec-Cegielnia belongs to the Catholic parish Srokowo in the current Archdiocese of Warmia , as well as to the Evangelical Johanneskirche Kętrzyn with the branch church Srokowo in the diocese of Masuria of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .
