Srokowski Dwór ( German Drengfurthshof ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Srokowo (rural community Drengfurth) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ).
Geographical location
Srokowski Dwór is located in the northern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , 19 kilometers northeast of the district town of Kętrzyn ( German Rastenburg ).
history
The large yard, initially known as Scheffrahn dismantling , was founded on October 16, 1856 as Drengfurtshof and until 1945 was a residential area of the municipality (from 1935: city) of Drengfurth ( Srokowo in Polish ). It belonged to the district of Rastenburg in the administrative district of Königsberg in the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1885 Drengfurthshof had 39 inhabitants, in 1905 it had 51 inhabitants.
Together with all of southern East Prussia , Drengfurthshof was transferred to Poland in 1945 as a result of the war and was given the Polish form of name “Srokowski Dwór”. Today the hamlet ( Przysiółek in Polish ) is part of the rural community Srokowo in the powiat Kętrzyński , until 1998 the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship .

Until 1945 Drengfurthshof was parish in the Evangelical Parish Church of Drengfurth in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the parish of St. Katharina in Rastenburg , which supplies the Catholic chapel in Drengfurth .
Today Srokowski Dwór in Srokowo belongs to the Catholic parish Heiligkreuz in the Archdiocese of Warmia and to the Evangelical Church there, now a branch church of the Johanneskirche Kętrzyn in the Diocese of Masuria of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .

Srokowski Dwór is located on a side street that leads from Srokowo (Drengfurth) via Bajory Wielkie (Groß Bajohren , 1938 to 1945 Großblankenfelde) to Brzeźnica (Birkenfeld) directly on the Polish-Russian border to the Kaliningrad Oblast (Königsberg area) . Another side road that runs from Asuny ( Assaunen) via Wilczyny (Wolfshagen) in a southerly direction ends in Srokowski Dwór. There is no connection to rail traffic .
