Podlasie ( German  Louisenhof ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Srokowo (rural community Drengfurth ) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ).

Geographical location

Podlasie is located in the northern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, 15 kilometers northeast of the district town of Kętrzyn ( German  Rastenburg ).

history

Louisenhof was founded as a small farm on March 30, 1821. In 1874 the place was incorporated into the newly established district of Salzbach ( Solanka in Polish ) in the East Prussian district of Rastenburg and before 1905 it was incorporated into the rural community of Adlig Schülzen B ( Silec in Polish ).

Until 1904 Louisenhof belonged to the registry office Fürstenau (Polish: Leśniewo ), then to the registry office Drengfurth ( Srokowo ). In 1885 Louisenhof had 24 inhabitants, in 1905 there were 13.

In 1945 as a result of the war, the whole of southern East Prussia - and with it Louisenhof - was transferred to Poland . Since then, Louisenhof has had the Polish name form “Podlasie”. Today is the small place "część wsi Silec" ( German  "part of the village Silec" ) within the rural community Srokowo (Drengfurth) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ), until 1998 the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then assigned to the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship .

church

Until 1945 Louisenhof was parish in the Evangelical Parish Church of Drengfurth in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic St. Katharinen Church in Rastenburg with the branch chapel Drengfurth in the then diocese of Warmia .

Today Podlasie belongs to the Catholic parish Srokowo in the current Archdiocese of Warmia , as well as to the Evangelical Church Srokowo , a branch church of the Johanneskirche Kętrzyn in the Diocese of Masuria of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .
