Wilcza Wólka ( German Friedrichsberg ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Srokowo (rural community Drengfurth ) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ).
Geographical location
Wilcza Wólka is located in the northern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, 20 kilometers northeast of the district town of Kętrzyn ( German Rastenburg ).
history
Originally Friedrichsberg only consisted of a large courtyard. It was founded in 1857. At that time it was mentioned in the official gazette of the royal Prussian government in Königsberg 1857, No. 48 Ordinance No. 258 - on the date of November 23rd: The name Friedrichsberg has been added to the dismantling within the limits of the village of Wolfshagen, Rastenburg district .
Until 1945 Friedrichsberg was a residential place within the community Wolfshagen ( Polish: Wilczyny ) in the East Prussian district of Rastenburg . In 1885 it had 43 inhabitants, and in 1905 28 inhabitants.
As a result of the war, Friedrichsberg came to Poland in 1945 along with all of southern East Prussia and received the Polish form of the name "Wilcza Wólka". Today it is "część wsi Wilczyny" (a "part of the village Wilczyny " (Wolfshagen) ) within the rural community of Srokowo (Drengfurth) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ), until 1998 of the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then part of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship .
church
Until 1945 Friedrichsberg was parish in the Evangelical Parish Church of Drengfurth in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic Church of St. Katharina Rastenburg with the Chapel of Drengfurth in what was then the Diocese of Warmia .
Today Wilcza Wólka belongs to the Catholic parish Srokowo in the current Archdiocese of Warmia , as well as to the Evangelical Church Srokowo , a branch church of the Johanneskirche Kętrzyn in the Diocese of Masuria of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .
