Pieczarki ( German  Bergensee ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to Gmina Srokowo (Drengfurth) in the Powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ).

Geographical location

Pieczarki is located in the northern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , 20 kilometers northeast of the district town of Kętrzyn ( German  Rastenburg ).

history

Bergensee originally only of a small hamlet, named after its owner until 1821. Gottfried Neumann name degradation Neumann wore. Until 1945 Bergensee was a residential area within the city of Drengfurth ( Polish: Srokowo ) in the East Prussian district of Rastenburg . In 1885 the small town had 13 inhabitants, in 1905 there were 18.

As a result of the war, Bergensee was transferred to Poland with all of southern East Prussia in 1945 and received the Polish form of the name “Pieczarki”. The place is today "Przysiółek osady Suchodoły" (a "hamlet of the settlement Suchodoły") within the rural community Srokowo (Drengfurth) in the powiat Kętrzyński (district Rastenburg ), until 1998 of the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship .

Until 1945 Bergensee was incorporated into the Protestant parish church of Drengfurth in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and into the Catholic Church of St. Katharinen in Rastenburg in what was then the Diocese of Warmia .

Today Pieczarki belongs to the Catholic parish Sokrowo in the current Archdiocese of Warmia and to the Evangelical Church of Srokowo , a branch church of the Johanneskirche Kętrzyn in the diocese of Masuria of the Evangelical Augsburg Church in Poland .

Pieczarki can be reached via a country road that branches off at Wilcze (Waldhaus Drengfurth) from the road from Srokowo (Drengfurth) to Bajory Wielkie (Groß Bajohren , 1938 to 1945 Großblankenfelde) and leads directly into the village via Suchodoły (Friedenthal) . There is no connection to rail traffic .
