Surwile ( German  Serwillen ) is a place in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the urban and rural municipality Węgorzewo (Angerburg) in the powiat Węgorzewski ( Angerburg district ).

Geographical location

Surwile is located south of the Serwiller Teich ( Polish Staw Surwile ) in the northeast of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship . The district town of Węgorzewo (Angerburg) is twelve kilometers away in a north-easterly direction.

history

The place called Serwilten before 1785 consisted of a large estate before 1945. In 1874 he was appointed to the newly established District Salzbach ( Polish Solanka incorporated) that the county Rastenburg in the administrative district of Konigsberg the Prussian province of East Prussia belonged. In 1910 a total of 101 inhabitants were registered in the Serwillen manor district .

On September 30, 1928, the Gutsbezirk closed Serwillen with the Nachbargutsbezirk Taberlack (Tarławki Polish) to the new rural community Taberlack together and belonged to since 1945.
