Dłużec ( German  Langbrück ) is a place in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , which belongs to the urban and rural municipality of Węgorzewo (Angerburg) in the powiat Węgorzewski ( Angerburg district ).

Geographical location

Dłużec is located southeast of the Lazy Lake ( Jezioro Mażański in Polish ) in the northeast of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , 17 kilometers southwest of the district town of Węgorzewo (Angerburg) .

history

The village called Langenbrück before 1785 was founded before 1466. From 1874 to 1945, there was in the district of Rose Garden ( Polish Radzieje ) incorporated, which the district Angerburg in Administrative district Gumbinnen the Prussian province of East Prussia belonged.

In 1910 the Langbrück manor district had 86 inhabitants, in 1925 there were already 163. On October 31, 1925, the Langbrück manor district was converted into a rural community of the same name. On September 30, 1928, the Pilwe manor district (Pilwa in Polish) became part of the Langbrück rural community. Thus the population increased from 1933 to 289 and from 1939 to 383.

Today the place is the seat of a Schulzenamt (Polish Sołectwo) as a place in the network of the urban and rural municipality Węgorzewo in the powiat Węgorzewski , until 1998 the Suwałki Voivodeship , since then the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship belongs.

Until 1945 the population of Langbrück was parish in the Protestant Church of Rosengarten in the church province of East Prussia of the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic St. Katharinen Church in Rastenburg in the Diocese of Warmia .
