geography

The settlement Kolonia Rybacka is located on the northeast bank of the Schwenzaitsee ( Jezioro Święcajti in Polish ) in the northeast of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, four kilometers southeast of the district town of Węgorzewo (Angerburg) .

The Polish state road DK 63 (former German Reichsstraße 131 ) runs through the place , which leads from the border with Russia via Węgorzewo , Giżycko (Lötzen) , Pisz (Johannisburg) and also Łomza to the border with Belarus . A train connection no longer exists since the nearby district town has been decoupled from rail traffic.
