Wysiecza ( German Waldheim ) is a place in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the urban and rural community Węgorzewo (Angerburg) in the powiat Węgorzewski ( Angerburg district ).
Geographical location
Wysiecza is located in the northeast of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , five kilometers to the northeast from the district town of Węgorzewo (Angerburg) .
history
The place, known until April 18, 1882, was called the Rohrer dismantling estate and until 1945 was a residential area in the municipality / city of Angerburg in the district of Angerburg in the Gumbinnen administrative district of the Prussian province of East Prussia .
In 1945 the city of Angerburg with southern East Prussia was transferred to Poland , with Waldheim being given the Polish name "Wysiecza". Today the place is the seat of a Schulzenamt ( Polish Sołectwo ) and a village in the network of the urban and rural municipality Węgorzewo in the powiat Węgorzewski , before 1998 the Suwałki Voivodeship , since then it belongs to the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship .

Waldheim resp. Wysiecza was and is ecclesiastically oriented towards Węgorzewo : until 1945 to the Protestant parish church of Angerburg in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and to the Catholic Angerburg Church of the Good Shepherd in the diocese of Warmia . Today, the site is now Catholic Church of St. Peter and Paul in Węgorzewo in the present diocese of Elk of the Roman Catholic Church in Poland the parish and belongs to the Protestant parish in Węgorzewo, a filial community of the parish in Giżycko (Giżycko) in the Diocese Mazury of Evangelical Augsburg Church in Poland .

Wysiecza is located on a side road that leads from the town of Węgorzewo via Cherwony Dwór (Rothof) to Wola (Freyhof) . A train connection has not existed since the district town was decoupled from rail traffic as the next train station.
