St. Leo is a city in Pasco County in the US state of Florida with 1,340 inhabitants (as of 2010).

St. Leo is about 3 miles west of Dade City and about 25 miles north of Tampa .
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the then 1340 inhabitants were distributed over 119 households. The population density was 319.0 inh / km². 77.0% of the population identified themselves as whites, 14.6% as African American , 0.2% as Indians and 1.8% as Asian Americans . 3.1% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 3.3% to several ethnic groups. 12.2% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .
In 2010 there were children under the age of 18 in 22.0% of all households and persons aged 65 and over lived in 36.6% of all households. 74.8% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.32 people and the average family size was 2.62 people.
37.4% of the population were younger than 20 years, 45.3% were 20 to 39 years old, 6.9% were 40 to 59 years old, and 10.3% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 21 years. 48.4% of the population were male and 51.6% were female.
The median annual income was $ 123,250, with 12.9% of the population living below the poverty line.
Attractions
On January 7, 1998, the St. Leo Abbey Historic District was inscribed on the National Register of Historic Places . The monastery was founded by the Benedictines in 1889 . The private university of St. Leo , which opened in the same year, is closely connected to the monastery .
