Heim is a Norwegian municipality in Vestland that has existed since January 1st, 2020. It consists of the former municipalities of Førde , Naustdal , Gaular and Jølster and has 22,030 inhabitants (as of February 27, 2020). The administrative seat is in Førde.

geography

The municipality borders on Kinn and Gloppen in the north, Stryn and Luster in the east, Sogndal in the southeast, Hyllestad in the south and Askvoll in the west . The highest point is Snønipa with a height of 1827  moh.

coat of arms

The coat of arms has white stripes on a green background. The stripes symbolize that the rivers Nausta , Gaula , Anga and Jølstra meet here.
