Mia san jetz where it hurts is a TV film from the crime series Tatort . The contribution produced by Bayerischer Rundfunk is the 982nd episode of the crime scene. The first broadcast took place on April 3, 2016 on the German broadcaster Das Erste . The Munich investigator duo Batic and Leitmayr are investigating their 72nd case and are celebrating their 25th anniversary with this episode.

action

A Romanian allegedly mistreated and strangled his 19-year-old cousin Aurelia Rubin, a prostitute , out of greed and under the influence of alcohol , is convicted. For Chief Detective Leitmayr, who led the investigation five months ago, this was one case among many in Munich's red-light district . The suspect, who has now been convicted, made a quick confession and was silent throughout the entire process.

After the verdict, Batic and Leitmayr have doubts about the Romanian's guilt and they reopen the case. It turns out that the Munich student Markus Zöller, after strangling Aurelia and her death, contacted the brothel operator Harry Schneider. This commissioned his "henchman" Siggi Rasch to cover up the course of events. Rasch first removed the traces that would have pointed to Markus as the perpetrator, in order to then get Aurelia's cousin to repeat the sequence of events.

On the night Aurelia Rubin died, Mia Petrescu, also a Romanian prostitute, ran naked in front of the laundry driver Benny. He took care of the girl and took her home. Since she witnessed the circumstances of Aurelia's death and even filmed how Zöller choked her friend, she is wanted by the brothel owner Schneider and his men. Benny develops a deep affection for Mia during the cat and mouse game with Schneider's people. When they threaten her, Benny kills two of the men. From now on both have to go into hiding. Benny discovers a video on Mia's cell phone that shows the sequence of events that led to the death of Aurelia Rubin. With this he blackmailed Harry Schneider to pay him 300,000 euros. While handing over the money at a remote airfield, Benny is hit by Siggi Rasch. Therefore, Benny cannot appear at Mia at the agreed time to continue their escape with her. Meanwhile, Mia has discovered that Benny used her cell phone to take photos of Markus Zöller, who called the two girls to his party on the night of Aurelia's death via Schneider's brothel. In order to get revenge for the physical assault on Aurelia and herself, Mia seeks out Markus. Ultimately, however, she does not have the heart to stab the student with a kitchen knife. Batic and Leitmayr arrive in time to prevent worse.

background

The film was shot on 23 days from August 11, 2015 to September 10, 2015. Udo Wachtveitl found warning words for the noticeably increased time and cost pressure in the production of the Tatort episodes over the past 25 years : “We are now close to the limit of what is reasonable” because “the days have become fewer, the hours for it more ” and “ there is a point at which a product can no longer get better but has to get worse if you save too much on resources ” . They took up a criticism that had already been expressed a few weeks earlier by their fellow actors Adele Neuhauser and Harald Krassnitzer about the first broadcast of the episode shooting star .

Max Färberböck presented the script to the Munich police, who informed him that the pimp model he described did not correspond to reality, whereupon Färberböck revised the script. In fact, around 2500 women come to Munich every year, spread over 180 houses, who are supposed to report to the police, who advise and protect them.

The episode was recorded almost exclusively within Munich. The find of two corpses was filmed in the gravel bed of the Isar at the weir in Munich-Bogenhausen . The premiere took place on March 14, 2016 in the Sendlinger Tor Kino in Munich in the presence of the two main actors Udo Wachtveitl and Miroslav Nemec . The episode represents the 25th anniversary of the two actors as Munich commissioners. On April 2, 2016, the evening before the broadcast of the anniversary episode, Bayerischer Rundfunk dedicated a theme evening to them under the motto “Best of Batic and Leitmayr “With the episodes Ms. Bu laughs (1995), Out of Action (2006), In Free Fall (2001) and The Chinese Method (1991) four episodes of the two actors were shown in a row. As a result, the investigative team casually celebrates itself in a scene by toasting the investigative work of the last 25 years together. Nemec commented on this with the words: "We found this little scene, in which everyone is already gone and the inspectors toast with espressi from paper cups, good, so that you can see: It's about work and not about celebrating" . Further allusions to the anniversary can already be found at the beginning of the episode, when Batic asks: “How long have we been doing this here?” And Leitmayr replies: “Too long.” And “If I hate something, then something like that "and possibly as a g'schissenen champagne to - service anniversary. can announce.

Following the first broadcast, an “expert chat on the“ crime scene ”was offered on social.ard.de, in which the actor Max von der Groeben and Bernhard Feiner, first chief detective of the Munich police, took part. The “crime scene was very realistic” , because “the dependency of women in the red light district is realistically depicted” , Feiner judged and added, “The incident will certainly have criminal consequences for the brothel owner” . Benny is also likely to have “far exceeded self-defense” , so that “there is still something criminal to face” . About the further legal procedure, Feiner announced, “In a new main hearing in front of the court, the real facts would be uncovered. As soon as the innocence of the cousin is established, he will be released. ” It is also quite possible that an investigator, in consultation with the department, will resume cases that have already been closed. However, contrary to the cinematic representation, smoking has been banned in the offices for years. Bayerischer Rundfunk announced that the end was deliberately chosen openly, but at the same time clarified that Mia Petrescu did not kill himself in the last scene and that Benny survived his injuries. The scenes that take place in a brothel were recorded in one. The Bayerischer Rundfunk confirmed that the two actors Udo Wachtveitl and Miroslav Nemec would also tease each other away from the camera. The music was praised several times by viewers, but at the same time the sometimes fluctuating sound quality and the Bavarian dialect were criticized. Actor Max von der Groeben received numerous praise from viewers for his acting.

The opening scene as well as the scene at the end of the episode, in which Mia Petrescu follows Markus Zöller armed with a kitchen knife, is accompanied by the music title Murder Me Rachael from 2003 by The National . When the killer Roman Czernik takes the syringe, the music track Praxis Of Love from 2015 by A Tribe Called Knarf can be heard. Benny's drive to the airfield to hand over the money is backed by the music track Cause from 1971 by Rodriguez . Ruth And Sylvie from 2013 by Daniel Hart can be heard several times as a recurring theme .

With Andreas Lust , a native of Vienna was cast for the role of the Viennese ex-military officer Siggi Rasch.

The audio description for the film was produced by the BR itself. The speaker is Friedrich Schloffer.

Reviews

Detlef Hartlap from prisma calls Mia san now, where it hurts, a “crime scene full of broken wood” , which tells “of the smoothness of a smooth murder investigation that leads to a smooth“ life sentence ”in court” , “which both turn out to be devastating ” , Because “ smoothly, that doesn't exist ” - “ especially not with murder ” . Director and screenwriter Max Färberböck "describes in the best passages of the film how the inspectors who react symbiotically to each other awaken from their self-assurance" . The 25th anniversary of the commissioners ' service "is dealt with with paper cups and in passing" , because "there is no time for more" because the investigators are trying to "make amends for what can no longer be made all the more furious" .

The dpa correspondent Britta Schultejans saw "a dark story" that reminded her of the throwaway girl case of Chief Inspector Charlotte Lindholm .

Christian Schmidt from the Westfälische Nachrichten was pleased, "director Max Färberböck skilfully staged his script written with Catherina Schuchmann, which thankfully kept the nostalgia factor low" . The episode is "a successful mixture of crime and drama" . With the film music, especially "the catchy title track" Murder Me Rachael " , an acoustic was chosen that " perfectly matched the gloomy atmosphere " .

“The dynamic between the two is unbreakable. In spite of adverse circumstances in the plot as in the shoot: Batic and Leitmayr have to keep going, they are needed. "

“In this episode, ideas and images overlap and take power. "I haven't had such shit for 25 years," says a king of the milieu. Of course, this Munich crime scene is not that weak. But there have been better ones in the last 25 years. "
