The Adventures of Ichabod and Taddeus Toad (original title: The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad ) is the eleventh full-length cartoon from Walt Disney Studios , released in 1949. Directed by Clyde Geronimi , Jack Kiney and James Algar . The film was released in the United States on October 5, 1949.

The film consists of two segments based on a famous novel and a short story: The Experience of Taddaeus Toad is based on Kenneth Grahame's The Wind in the Willows and The Adventure of Ichabod and the Headless Rider on Washington Irving's Sleepy Hollow .

The experience of Taddäus Toad
The Wind in the Willows tells the story of the enterprising Taddäus Toad, who always throws himself headlong into the most hair-raising adventures. His best friends, the friendly Mauli, Rat and Master Badger, try to keep Taddäus Toad away from his latest hobby: the automobile. Eventually he ends up in prison for theft and has to prove his innocence.
The Ichabod Adventure
The saga of Sleepy Hollow . Ichabod Crane, the newly hired village teacher of the Sleepy Hollow nest, meets the headless rider on the way home at night.
