The Thomas Jann Orgelbau GmbH is a German in organ building company operating.

history

Company founder Georg Jann learned his trade from Alexander Schuke in Potsdam, among others . After working as a voicer at Orgelbau Sandtner in Dillingen, Georg Jann took over the company from Eduard Hirnschrodt in Regensburg in 1974 . In 1975 the organ in Schlicht bei Vilseck was built as Opus 1 , and Opus 282 was achieved in 2012. In 1980 the company moved to more spacious buildings in Laberweinting in Lower Bavaria. The stylistically diverse, also very large new buildings for the church and concert hall combine traditional with modern elements at a high level. A restoration department of the company has been carrying out restorations since 1987.

In 1986, today's managing director, master organ builder Thomas Jann, joined the company after completing his training with Richard Rensch . In 1990 he passed his master craftsman examination in Ludwigsburg . Since 1995 he has been managing director of Thomas Jann Orgelbau GmbH, since 1999 restorer in the organ and harmonium building trade and since September 1999 publicly appointed and sworn expert of the Chamber of Crafts Niederbayern-Oberpfalz .
