Timothy Leroy Lincecum (born June 15, 1984 in Bellevue , Washington ) is an American Major League Baseball player. He is currently a free agent , having last played as the starting pitcher for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim . He is nicknamed "The Franchise" and "The Freak." His first appearance in the major league was broadcast on May 6, 2007 on the American television channel ESPN .

He throws right-handed, but hits with the left. He won the Cy Young Award in the National League in 2008 and 2009 .
