Tourism in the Czech Republic
The tourism in the Czech Republic is a significant source of revenue. The history of Bohemia , Moravia and Silesia has left numerous sights. In addition, the landscape attracts many leisure guests. In the Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Report 2017 of the World Economic Forum, the Czech Republic ranks 38th out of 136 countries.

Tourism regions
The Ministry of Regional Development divides the country into seven regions.
The most visited city in the Czech Republic is the capital Prague on the Vltava with the Prague Castle and the Old Town .
The most popular excursion destinations include the castle of Emperor Charles IV. Karlštejn Castle and the town of Kutná Hora, which is famous for its silver mining .
Big historical cities are Budweis and Český Krumlov (Krumau) with medieval city centers. The Bohemian Forest, described by the writer Adalbert Stifter , extends on the border with Germany and Austria .
The West Bohemian Spa Triangle has been known for its spas for centuries. Karlsbad , Marienbad and Franzensbad form the corner points of the triangle. The largest city is Pilsen .
- Moravia and Silesia
Moravia in particular is known for its wines . White wines are mainly grown in South Moravia . Big cities are Brno and Ostrava .
The region offers the Adersbach-Weckelsdorf rock town for nature lovers . Deep gaps and meter-high sandstone towers have made the rock labyrinth famous.
Northern Bohemia impresses with the Prebischtor in the Bohemian Switzerland National Park . A part of the Giant Mountains with the Harrachov winter sports center is also located here . Winter sports are practiced in these areas and tourists come to hike in summer.
