Tučapy (German Tutschap ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located in the Okres Tábor district , Jihočeský kraj region , about 7 km northeast of Soběslav and 17 km southeast of Tábor .

history

The first written mention of the village is from 1354. The castle was built between 1359 and 1366 by Tomáš z Tučap. At the turn of the 17th / 18th In the 19th century it was converted into a castle.

The conductor of the Czech Philharmonic Karel Ančerl (1908–1973) came from Tučapy .

The community is made up of three districts:

  • Brandlin ( Brandlin )
  • Dvorce ( Dworetz )

The municipality is divided into the cadastral districts of Brandlín u Tučap, Dvorce u Tučap and Tučapy u Soběslavi.
