history

According to legends, Vlastiboř is said to have been founded by a Vladiken Vlastibor as a tribe of the Dúdlebi. Lastibor was first mentioned in writing on April 1, 1354, when Ulrich IV von Neuhaus sold the larger part of the village to the right of Bechyňský potok along with Zálší, Sviny , Svinky, Mažice and Borkovice to the Rosenbergs . The Louňovice Monastery owned the smaller portion to the left of the stream . After the Hussite Wars , the greater part often changed hands, and Little Lastibor finally came to the town of Tábor . Because of the participation in the class uprising of 1547, the goods of the city of Tábor were confiscated and Klein Lastibor together with twelve other villages on March 19, 1548 by Albrecht von Guttenstein on Žirovnice for his ward Wilhelm von Rosenberg bought and attached to the rule Wittingau . In 1584 Wilhelm von Rosenberg also acquired Klein Lastibor . His brother Peter Wok von Rosenberg sold the taxes from Groß- and Klein Lastibor ten years later to the protective and municipal town of Soběslav, which belonged to the Wittingau rule . In 1840 Lastiboř consisted of a total of 41 houses with 264 inhabitants. The parish was Nedwietitz ( Nedvědice ). The Big Side or Big Lastiboř was formally part of the Wittingau dominion, the Small Side or Little Lastiboř part of the Zborow estate; however, taxes and duties as well as all liabilities were due to the Dominium Soběslav. Until the middle of the 19th century, Lastiboř was always subject to the town of Soběslav, but was never peculiar to it.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Lastiboř 1850 with the hamlet Záluží a municipality in the district administration and the judicial district Tábor Soběslav. Later the place name Vlastiboř prevailed. Záluží broke away in 1878 and formed its own municipality under the name Záluží u Vlastiboře . In 1948 Vlastiboř was spun off from Okres Tábor in the newly formed Okres Soběslav. This was dissolved again in 1961 and the community was reassigned to the Okres Tábor. At the same time, the incorporation of Záluží u Vlastiboře and Svinky took place. The official name of the district Záluží u Vlastiboře was shortened to Záluží at the beginning of 1976 . The town centers of Vlastiboř and Záluží have been protected as rural conservation areas since 1995.
