history

The burial mounds Klobásná I and Klobásná II in the Klobásná forest west of the village are evidence of an early settlement of the area.

The first written mention of the village of Zlukov, which belonged to the Witigonen possessions , took place in 1200. The place was created in the course of the German colonization, its inhabitants had names like Ulrich and Herbold. In 1382 the brothers Vyšata and Buzek von Machovice left the village to King Wenceslaus IV. From 1448 the estate belonged to the knight Heřman Smrčka von Mnich and from 1466 to his sons. Later the estate fell back to the Bohemian Crown. King Vladislav II Jagiello gave Zlukov to his chamberlain Heinrich von Neuhaus in 1492 , who sold the property in 1501 to his mother-in-law Katharina von Sachsen, the wife of Heinrich von Münsterberg . Later the estate fell to Adam II von Neuhaus , who joined it in 1585 to the Kardašova Řečice reign . After the death of Joachim Ulrich von Neuhaus , the Slavata counts inherited the property and in 1693, Drahov became part of the Kardašova Řečice reign. Two years later, Johann Maximilian and Karl Joseph von Götz inherited the property. There are evidence of Czech settlers in Zlukov since 1720. Karl Joseph von Götz, who had been the sole owner since 1717, sold the property to Johann Ferdinand von Kufstein in 1725, who expanded it to include the Vřesná and Pleše estates . It was bought from him in 1740 by Johann Wenzel von Caretto-Millesimo, Margrave of Savona, who sold it to Count Karl Swéerts-Sporck in 1746 . The latter sold the rule to Joseph Freiherrn von Jungwirth in 1752. In 1768 Joseph von Jungwirth exchanged the rule of Wenzel Prince von Paar for Budišov . In 1840 Slukau / Zlukow consisted of 49 houses with 317 inhabitants. The parish was Drahles . Until the middle of the 19th century, the village was always subject to the rule of Kardašova Řečice and the couple princes.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Slukov / Slukau 1850 a municipality in the district administration Trebon / Wittingau and the judicial district Veseli nad Lužnicí . A wooden chapel was built on the village square in 1875, which burned down in 1916. In 1904 a school building was built for two-class lessons. At that time the population consisted mainly of Czechs. Most of the residents in Mezímostí were busy building the railway. In 1921 the village consisted of 64 houses in which 404 people lived. In 1926 the new road to Újezdec was built. The village smithy was demolished in 1957. After the Okres Třeboň was abolished, Zlukov became part of the Okres Soběslav in 1948. This was dissolved again in 1961 and Zlukov assigned to the Okres Tábor. On January 1, 1976, Zlukov was incorporated into Veselí nad Lužnicí. After a referendum, the village broke up on November 24, 1990 and has since formed its own municipality again.
