This discography is an overview of the musical works of the Irish rock - music group U2 . According to the sources, they have sold more than 170 million records in their careers, making them one of the performers with the highest number of records sold worldwide . In Germany alone, the band has sold more than 5.7 million records to date, making them one of the performers with the highest number of records sold in Germany . The most successful release by U2 is the album The Joshua Tree with around 18 million units sold.
