Waldhaus (colloquially also Waldhaus ) is a district of the town of Windsbach in the Ansbach district in Middle Franconia .

geography

The Waldhausgraben rises about half a kilometer northeast of the wasteland , which is a right tributary of the Almesbach, which in turn is a right tributary of the Aurach . The place is surrounded by the forest area Lehen . A local road leads to the district road AN 28 (0.3 km south-east) between Suddersdorf (1.3 km north) and Moosbach (1.1 km south-west).

history

The wasteland was first mentioned by name in 1837 as "Waldbauer" and since 1867 as "Waldhaus". The naming is based on the fact that the property is located in the middle of the forest. Originally, Waldhaus is said to have been a forester's house.

The place was founded in the municipality of Suddersdorf . On July 1, 1973 it was incorporated into Windsbach as part of the regional reform .
