Eric Dubus

Éric Dubus (born February 28, 1966 in Pézenas ) is a former French middle and long distance runner .

Life

In 1989 he won silver over 1500 m at the Francophonie Games . The following year he won the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Glasgow over 3000 m .

A fourth place over 3000 m at the 1992 European Indoor Championships in Genoa was followed by the silver medal over the same distance at the 1993 World Indoor Athletics Championships in Toronto.

In 1994 he was fourth over 1500 m at the European Athletics Championships in Helsinki , and at the 1995 World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg he reached the semifinals in the same discipline.

In 1996 he was fifth at the European Indoor Championships in Stockholm over 3000 m and retired at the Olympic Games in Atlanta over 1500 m in the preliminary run.

In the short-distance races of the World Cross Country Championships, he came in 1998 in Marrakech in 63rd place and in 2000 in Vilamoura in 91st place.

Over 1500 m he was French outdoor champion in 1993 and indoor in 1990, over 3000 m he won the national indoor title in 1992 and 1993.
