113th Congress of the United States

The 113th United States Congress is the legislature of the United States , made up of the House of Representatives and the Senate . The legislative period of the 113th  Congress lasted from January 3, 2013 to January 3, 2015.

The House of Representatives and 33 senators (33 Class I senators ) were elected in the November 6, 2012 congressional elections. The Congress met in the American capital Washington, DC

According to the constitution, the Vice President of the United States simultaneously holds the office of President of the Senate regardless of which party has the majority in the Senate.
