Aaron Ness (born May 18, 1990 in Roseau , Minnesota ) is an American ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Arizona Coyotes in the National Hockey League since July 2019 and at the same time for their farm team , the Tucson Roadrunners , in American Hockey League plays.

Career

Aaron Ness was already selected as a player at the high school in the NHL Entry Draft 2008 in the second round as a total of 40th player by the New York Islanders . He then attended the University of Minnesota for three years , for whose ice hockey team he was active in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association . Towards the end of the 2010-11 season , the defender for the Islanders' farm team , the Bridgeport Sound Tigers , made his professional ice hockey debut when he scored one goal and three assists in 13 games in the American Hockey League . In the following season he was the first time for the Islanders in the National Hockey League on the ice, where he remained pointless in nine games. Most of the season, however, he spent again with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in the AHL.

After a total of four years in the Islanders organization, he joined the Washington Capitals as a free agent in July 2015 , where he was also mainly used in the AHL with the Hershey Bears . In July 2019 he finally switched to the Arizona Coyotes in the same way .

International

For the USA Ness took part in the U18 World Cup in 2008 , where he won the bronze medal with his team.
