Career
Beginnings
Vinnie Hinostroza was born in Chicago and played there in his youth for the Chicago Mission in the regional youth league . At the age of 16 he left his home country and joined the Waterloo Black Hawks from the United States Hockey League (USHL), the highest junior league in the United States. The Black Hawks had selected him in the USHL Futures Draft 2010 in fourth position, so that he ran up for the team at the beginning of the 2010/11 season. After an average rookie season, after which he represented his home country at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament 2011 for the first time on an international level, the attacker significantly increased his personal statistics in the 2011/12 season (44 scorer points in 55 games) and was subsequently in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft selected at 169th position by the Chicago Blackhawks . After another year in the USHL, in which he scored 25 goals and 35 assists in 46 games, he enrolled at the University of Notre Dame in autumn 2013 . There Hinostroza played from then on for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the Hockey East , a college league in the game operations of the National Collegiate Athletic Association . As a freshman of Americans came to 32 points in 34 games, while over the new year with the U20 national team at the U20 World Cup in 2014 took part and there finished fifth with the team. At the end of the college season, Hinostroza was voted into the Hockey East's all-rookie team.
Chicago Blackhawks
In the following 2014/15 season, the attacker again achieved a point average of over 1.0 and was consequently appointed to the First All-Star Team of Hockey East. He then signed an entry level contract with the Chicago Blackhawks in March 2015 , who used him in five games with their farm team , the Rockford IceHogs , in the American Hockey League (AHL) by the end of the season . Hinostroza made his debut in the National Hockey League (NHL) at the beginning of the 2015/16 season , but was sent back to the AHL after four appearances, where he spent the rest of the season - apart from three other NHL games in February 2016 - and the IceHogs led in points (51). He was then appointed to the senior national team of the USA for the first time and took part with the team in the 2016 World Cup, where they finished fourth. In addition, the striker was selected 88th in the KHL Junior Draft 2016 by the Finnish Jokerit . At the beginning of the 2016/17 season, Hinostroza established himself in the NHL squad of the Blackhawks and was from then on regularly used.
Arizona Coyotes
After three years in the organization of the Blackhawks, Hinostroza was handed over to the Arizona Coyotes in July 2018, together with Jordan Oesterle and a third-round vote in the NHL Entry Draft , who also took over the contract from Marián Hossa . In return, the Blackhawks received Marcus Krüger , Jordan Maletta , Andrew Campbell , MacKenzie Entwistle and a five-round vote in the same draft.
