admission

After their previous, experimental album Pop and the accompanying tour were not as positively received by fans and critics as their previous albums, the band turned back to their more traditional style. This time they engaged Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno for the production . It was recorded from 1998 to 2000, with a two-month break in between, among other things, because Lanois and Bono had to record the soundtrack to the film The Million Dollar Hotel .

Album cover

The cover shows the band at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (Roissy Hall 2F). The video for the single Beautiful Day was also shot at the airport.
