The Anhaltinische Saalstein is a nature reserve in the town of Quedlinburg in the Harz district in Saxony-Anhalt .

The nature reserve with the registration number NSG 0066 is 6.44  hectares in size. It is part of the EU bird sanctuary "Northeastern Unterharz" and completely from the landscape conservation area surrounded "resin and flood plains". The area has been under protection since May 1, 1961. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the Harz district.

The nature reserve is located south of the Quedlinburg district of Bad Suderode on the western slope of the eponymous mountain in the Harz / Saxony-Anhalt nature park that slopes down to the Kalten Tal . It protects a rock heather and pine forest with pale hawkweed and bearberry on the steep slopes of the Anhaltinisches Saalstein with rocky cliffs and rubble heaps . Other forest communities include Norway maple-linden-block heap forest, ash- sycamore maple ravine forest, oak-rich grove -beech forest and dyer's gorse-oak-beech forest with spotted fern or fescue on the dry upper slopes. Umbilical lichen societies can be found on the cliffs. The nature reserve is completely surrounded by forests .

The rocks are named Anhaltinischer Salstein as No. 186 in the system of stamping points of the Harz hiking pin.
