The Tännichen is a nature reserve in the town of Oberharz am Brocken in the Harz district in Saxony-Anhalt .

The nature reserve with the registration number NSG 0024 is 22.87  hectares . It is completely part of the FFH area "Selketal und Bergwiesen bei Stiege" and is surrounded by the landscape protection area "Harz and Vorländer". The area has been under protection since May 1, 1961. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the Harz district.

The nature reserve is located south of Hasselfelde and west of Stiege in the Harz / Saxony-Anhalt Nature Park . It puts beech forest societies in the high areas of the Lower Harz plateau under protection. The beech forests are characterized as species-rich toothroot-pearlgrass -beech forests or low -species resin labwort -beech forests . The species-rich beech forests are characterized by red beech , sycamore maple and sessile oak . In the herb layer grow u. a. Yellow monkshood , gnarled figwort , woodruff and forest flutter grass . The herb layer of the species-poor beech forests is u. a. Formed by forest equestrian grass , two-leaved shadow flower , whitish grove , whorl-leaved white root and resin rennet. Special features in the nature reserve are occurrences of common daphne , spotted orchid and spruce asparagus .
