history

This castle was originally owned by the Murach family . The noblemen's freedom only related to the house. In 1600 it is called Bertoltshoferischer Edelmannsitz, Burckhgueth der Hofmark Traidendorf zu Calmintz . Hans Wolf von Pertolzhoven placed on Calmüntz on May 16, 1630 for his brother, the hammer mill and Hofmark owner Wilhelm von Pertolzhoven placed on Traidendorffin front of the district court of Kallmünz a power of attorney to represent him on the country table. In 1788 the noble seat, the castle estate at the end of the market, was "smashed" except for the house.

The artist Ludwig Bäuml , commonly known as "der Wigg", has been restoring the Bertholzhofener Schlösschen single-handedly for many years.
