history

The Schottenkloster zu Regensburg owned goods in Hochdorf that it had received from the Burgraves of Regensburg , but ceded to the Pielenhofen Monastery in 1283 .

The owners have been known by name since 1315. At that time Jordan and Heinrich Ettenstatter were enfeoffed by Emperor Ludwig the Bavarian with the Vogtei and Hofmark Hochdorf. 1370 Conrad Hofmeister zu Winzer and his wife Anna Leokadia are mentioned here. In 1380 their son Ulrich Hofmeister follows . In 1390 he renounced all his rights in favor of the pastor of Kallmünz or his successors against holding vigils for himself and his family. Ulrich Geißenthaler is the owner here in 1396 . In 1397 Ulrich Steinlinger received the bailiwick and court rights from Duke Ruprecht for the property bought by Ulrich Geißenthaler . In 1404 Dietrich der Slecher and his wife Kunigunda are found here . In 1440, Hochdorf is owned by Caspar Puntinger , who inherited it from Katharina Hofmeister .

In 1514, Hochdorf came to Siegmund Christoph and Jordan the foundries to winemakers on Kaufweg . The Hofmarkschloss of Hochdorf was built by foundries to winemakers . Siegmund's wife married Wolfgang Moller zu Haitzenhofen after his death . In 1522, Hochdorf is then owned by Heitzenhofen master hammer Wolfgang Moller . After his death († 1528), Hochdorf passed on to his children Lorenz , Margaretha , Anna Ehrentraut and Ursel Balbina ; their guardian Joachim von Pertolzhofen zu Traidendorf renewed the fief. In 1532 these heirs are on the land table . In 1538 the surviving Lorenz Moller is the sole owner of Hochdorf. His widow married the Poley Probst von Pielenhofen . In 1575, Lorenz's widow and their children ( Georg , Maria Afra , Clara and Cordula ) are on the country table. Jörg Moller is registered here in 1566 († 1608). He was married three times: From his first marriage to M. Luitgarde Altmann, he fathered a daughter Regina , who married Hans von der Sachsen zu Wolfersdorf . With the second wife Regina Thumser he fathered the son Wolf Lorenz and with the third ( Katharina Euphrosina Teufel von Pirkensee ) he had three sons ( Hans Wolf , died unmarried, Jörg Friedrich and Wolfgang Wilhelm ) and four daughters ( Anna Sidonia , Anna Jakobe , Maria Salome and Sybilla ). In 1618 Jörg Friedrich and Wolf Wilhelm Moller gave up the fiefdom and compulsory Landsassassen . In 1624 Jörg Friedrich took over the entire property through an inheritance settlement. He died in 1670 after a guardian had already been appointed for his nonsense. He left a daughter, Elisabeth . In 1670, Wolf Balthasar Moller appeared as a fiefdom holder. After a long inheritance dispute with Elisabeth , this was transferred to Hochdorf and Dunau in 1680 and her husband Wilhelm Hofer zu Lobenstein became a fiefdom holder. Even after the death of his wife in 1697, he took the feudal oath for his daughter Katharina Elisabeth .

Coat of arms of Duggendorf after the coat of arms of the Teuffel von Pirkensee

In 1708 Katharina Elisabeth Hoferin von Lobenstein becomes the owner of Hochdorf; her mother was a Mollerin . Through their marriage, Hochdorf came to her husband Johann Wilhelm Teuffel von Pirkensee . The coat of arms of this family, which is also attached to the parish church in Duggendorf, served as a template for the coat of arms of the municipality of Duggendorf.

From 1735 the Hofmark passed on the Kaufweg to Georg Karl Freiherren von Karg , ambassador of the Kurier and Bamberg Reichstag. In 1747 Hochdorf came to Friedrich Carl Freiherr von Karg by inheritance . His wife is Johanna Countess von Seinsheim . He had to assert himself against his sister Anna Philippine Freiin von Wildenstein-Madminsk , who demanded a Witt share, but - since Hochdorf was a man's fief - was rejected. In 1775, Clemens August von Karg, Baron von Bebenburg, is the owner by assignment. He set up a Fideikommiss for male and female descendants († 1786). In 1793 his underage nephew Josef Freiherr von Karg auf Trausnitz im Thal is the owner.

Then the lords of Ettenstatt are attested in Hochdorf . The castle then passed from the Winkler family to the current owners, the Dechant family .

In 1978, Hochdorf belongs to the district of Burglengenfeld ; in the course of the regional reform of 1978 , Hochdorf was merged with Duggendorf to form a new municipality.

Hochdorf Castle today

As early as 1600, Hochdorf was referred to as a collapsed old castle , although construction was only started in 1518 by Hans Siegmund Güesser ; but in the late 17th century the current castle was rebuilt by the lords of Ettenstatt .

The now fully renovated castle is a two-storey and eaves half- hipped roof building from the 17th / 18th centuries. Century. It has a massive structure with five window axes each and a hipped roof .
