Burgstall Schlössel

The Burgstall Schlössel is located in the Hungersacker district of the city of Wörth an der Donau in the Upper Palatinate district of Regensburg in Bavaria . Together with the Burgstall Alte Schlossgräben facility, the paths into the northern clearing area and the Wachsenberger clearing island could be protected from here.

history

The system is likely to have been a fortification in the highly medieval clearing island around the Wachsenberg (Waxenberg), which was removed in the meantime (from the 1930s). An Arnold de Wahsinstein testifies to a comparison in 1179 that was donated by the Hochstift Vogt Gebhard von Sulzbach . This Arnold appears in a list of noblemen who can be located in the neighboring towns around Wachsenberg; the settlement itself was concluded with Wörth . A Walter von Wasenstein or Walter Wasensteiner appears several times in 1251 and 1262 as a citizen of Regensburg in both imperial and high-esteem documents.

Wachsenberg village

The place Wachsenberg is mentioned for the first time in 1401 in the will of Friedrich des Chamerauers . This was enfeoffed with the lordship of Wörth, which was in ducal lien. According to his will, everything should go well to Wächsenperg to the nephew of the Chamberlain , Jörg den Zenger . Wachsenberg remains independent and this independence does not end until the 15th century when it was incorporated into the Wörth estate . In 1406 Georg the Zenger zu Tannstein sold the Wachsenberg property to the Prüll monastery for the benefit of the nuns. In 1429 the monastery sells the village of Wachsenberg with the court, apprenticeship and court rights to Hermann the Haibeck zu Wiesenfelden , who sells these goods in 1451 to the Viechtach citizen Stephan Holenpekch . In another sale, which concerned the castle stables and the court rights, Dietrich Haibeck is indicated as the previous owner , who obviously had received part of the earlier goods. The buyer was the Straubing citizen Jorg Perger . With this sale from 1474, it remains to be seen whether it is the Alte Schlossgräben castle stables or the Schlössel castle stalls . The field name Galgenberg (there is even a distinction between a Vorderer and a Hinterer Galgenberg ) even suggests that Wachsenberg had the high level of jurisdiction , which goes well beyond the usual court rights, but is possibly related to the status of the former clearing area. In 1477 Jörg Perger passed his Wachsenberg property on to the Windberg Monastery ; soon afterwards, talks began between the monastery and the Regensburg monastery about the acquisition of Wachsenberg. In 1482 Wachsenberg finally came to rule Wörth.

Localization

About 850 m north-east of the Alte Schlossgräben castle stalls, there is another previously unknown castle complex called the “ Burgstall castle slopes” in the slope area of the Perlbach between two rivulets .

Originally, the complex was enclosed by a ring moat and again protected on the west side by an intermediate wall. The inner diameter of the Burgplatz is approx. 30 m. At the eastern tip there is a 6 m long and 1 m deep pit, possibly the foundation pit for a tower.

Waxenberg is now just a desert , the place was systematically cleared after 1930 and the corridors reforested.
