Beryl Anthony, Jr.

Beryl Franklin Anthony, Jr. (born February 21, 1938 in El Dorado , Arkansas ) is an American politician and member of the Democratic Party .

Anthony studied at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville , where he received his Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts in 1961 and his Juris Doctor in 1963 . That same year he was inducted into the Arkansas bar and began practicing in El Dorado. Anthony served in the United States House of Representatives from January 3, 1979 to January 3, 1993 . He represented the 4th  congressional constituency of Arkansas there. In 1992 he was not nominated for another term by his party.

Anthony is married to Sheila Foster Anthony, the sister of Vince Foster .
