Carina Wasle (born October 20, 1984 in Kundl ) is an Austrian duathlete and triathlete . She is multiple national champion, European cross triathlon champion (2007, 2010) and winter triathlon world champion (2009).

Career

Carina Wasle is multiple Austrian national champion in the winter triathlon (2003, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2020) and the Tyrolean became vice European champion and world champion in 2009.

In 2003 she finished 16th in the Junior Duathlon World Championship. In January 2005 she became the U23 European winter triathlon champion. In the duathlon she was Austrian national champion in 2008 and 2010.

World Champion Winter Triathlon 2009

In 2008 and 2009 she was also national champion in cross triathlon and in 2007 and again in 2010 she was also European champion.
She narrowly missed the podium at the Xterra World Championships , finishing fourth in Hawaii in October.

In September 2013 she was third in the U23 European Cross Triathlon Championships at Wolfgangsee . At the Xterra World Championship (cross triathlon) she finished tenth in October 2014.

State champion cross triathlon 2016

In June 2016 she won the title of State Champion Cross-Triathlon for the third time as part of the Wolfgangsee Challenge . At the Xterra World Championships she was ninth in October. In July 2017 she was third at the ETU European Cross Triathlon Championships in Romania. The then 33-year-old finished ninth at the Xterra World Championship in Hawaii in October 2017.

The 35-year-old finished sixth at the World Championship Winter Triathlon in Italy in February 2020. In March she became the Austrian national winter triathlon champion.
