The Categoría Primera A 1969 was the twenty-second edition of the Colombian football championship . The championship could Deportivo Cali (3 titles) before América de Cali won. The top scorer was the Argentine Hugo Horacio Lóndero from América de Cali with 26 goals.

The championship was divided into two half-series, Apertura and Finalización . In each semi-series, all teams played against each other twice. The two best teams each qualified for the final group, in which the champion and the second participant in the Copa Libertadores were determined.
