Condé-sur-Sarthe is a French commune with 2,507 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Orne in the region of Normandy . Condé-sur-Sarthe belongs to the Arrondissement of Alençon and the canton of Damigny . The municipality is part of the communauté urbaine d'Alençon . The inhabitants are called Condéens .
geography
Condé-sur-Sarthe is a banlieue in the west of Alençon and lies on the north bank of the river Sarthe . Condé-sur-Sarthe is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lonrai in the north, Damigny in the northeast, Alençon in the east, Saint-Germain-du-Corbéis in the southeast, Héloup in the south, Mieuxcé in the southwest and Pacé in the west.
The former Route nationale 12 (today's D112) runs through the municipality .
