Le Mêle-sur-Sarthe is a French municipality with 686 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Orne in the region of Normandy .
Sights include an artificially created lake for recreational activities and a church with glass windows by Marc Chagall . It is an access community associated with the Normandy-Maine Regional Nature Park .
Since 1967, the community has maintained a community partnership with the climatic health resort of Falkenstein , a district of Königstein im Taunus, which is supported by local associations and schools on both sides . A community partnership has existed with Libčany in the Czech Republic since 1995 .
Le Mêle-sur-Sarthe is virtually a filmographic monument in the film " A village goes blank ".
