Écouves is a French commune with 1,703 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Orne in the region of Normandy . Écouves belongs to the Arrondissement of Alençon and the canton of Radon (until 2015: canton of Alençon-3 ). The municipality is part of the communauté urbaine d'Alençon .
On January 1, 2016, Écouves was formed as a Commune nouvelle from the municipalities of Radon , Forges and Vingt-Hanaps .
