Torchamp is a French municipality with 295 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Orne in the region Normandy (before 2016 Basse-Normandie ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Alençon and is part of the canton of Bagnoles-de-l'Orne ( Passais until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Torchampois .
geography
Torchamp is about 61 kilometers west-northwest of Alençon . The parish is part of the Normandy-Maine Regional Nature Park . Torchamp is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Mars-d'Égrenne in the north and west, Domfront en Poiraie in the north and north-east, Saint-Brice in the east, Ceaucé in the south and south-east and Saint-Fraimbault in the south-west.
