Mantilly is a French municipality with 535 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Orne in the region Normandy (before 2016 Basse-Normandie ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Alençon and is part of the canton of Bagnoles-de-l'Orne ( Passais until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called mantillois .

geography

Mantilly is about 64 kilometers west-northwest of Alençon . The parish is part of the Normandy-Maine Regional Nature Park . Mantilly is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Cyr-du-Bailleul in the north, Saint-Mars-d'Égrenne in the north and north-east, Passais Villages in the south and east, Désertines in the south and south-west and Le Tilleul in the west and north-west.
