Cerisé is a French municipality with 863 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Orne in the region of Normandy . Cerisé belongs to the Arrondissement of Alençon and the Canton of Alençon-1 (until 2015: Canton Alençon-3 ). The municipality is part of the communauté urbaine d'Alençon . The inhabitants are called Ceriséens .
geography
Cerisé is located about three kilometers east-northeast of Alençon on the Sarthe , which borders the municipality in the south. Cerisé is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Valframbert in the north, Chenay in the east, Saint-Paterne - Le Chevain in the south and Alençon in the west. Most of the Alençon-Valframbert airfield is located in the municipality.
The A12 autoroute runs through the municipality .
