The hamlet Galgenberg is a district of Vohenstrauß in the district of Neustadt an der Waldnaab in the Upper Palatinate .

Geographical location

Galgenberg is located on the connecting road between Vohenstrauss and Pleystein , about 1.5 km northeast of Vohenstrauss and 4 km southwest of Pleystein. About 850 m northeast of Galgenberg rises the Leraubach , which is called here in its headwaters Sautradlbach. The 610 m high gallows wood rises northeast of Galgenberg.
