history

Trasgschieß (formerly also: Dresgesies) belonged to the rule of the Waldauer . In 1483 Trasgschieß was named when Ulrich von Waldau handed over part of his possessions to his sons.

In the middle of the 16th century, the rule of the Waldauer - and with it Trasgschieß - passed to the Wirsbergers. In 1632 it came into the possession of the Lords of Enkefort. Since the end of the 17th century the Barons von Rumel held the fiefdom. At the beginning of the 19th century the Freiherrn von Lilien were named as owners of Trasgschieß.

In the 18th century Trasgschieß had 5 properties, including a shepherd's house.

At the beginning of the 19th century, Trasgschiess and 5 families belonged to the village of Waldau. At that time, the village community of Waldau consisted of the villages of Waldau with 59 families, Erpetshof with 9 families, Zeßmannsrieth with 13 families, the hamlet of Trasgschieß with 5 families and the desert Arnmühle with one family, Iltismühle with 3 families, Neumühle with 3 families and Zieglmühle with 5 families. Waldau held the patrimonial court over this community.

From 1821 to 1972 Trasgschieß belonged to the municipality of Waldau. The community Waldau comprised the localities Waldau, Erpetshof, Iltismühle, Neumühle, Trasgschieß, Zeßmannsried and Zieglmühle. When the municipality of Waldau was incorporated into the municipality of Vohenstrauß on January 1, 1972 as part of the municipal reform, Trasgschieß became part of Vohenstrauß.
