The Einöde Oberschleif is a district of Vohenstrauß in the district of Neustadt an der Waldnaab in the Upper Palatinate .

Geographical location

history

At the end of the 18th and the beginning of the 19th century, the glass loops upper and lower loops at Roggenstein were created.

In the Regensburg register of 1838 Oberschleif was not mentioned under the parish of Roggenstein. However, there was a grinding plot with 9 houses and 114 inhabitants. In this upper and lower grinding and other mills and polishing works in the Luhetal near Roggenstein were combined.

On the historical maps 1808–1864 and 1817–1841 Oberschleif is shown with two buildings.

In the official statistics of 1871 Oberschleif with 3 buildings and 19 inhabitants is recorded as part of the community of Roggenstein.

In 1928 Fanny Ermer was the owner of the Glasschleifen at Roggenstein.

In 1938 the community Roggenstein consisted of the villages Roggenstein, Binnermühle, Hammer, Lämersdorf, Luhmühle, Oberschleif, Unterschleif and Zieglhütte.

On January 1, 1972, the Roggenstein community was incorporated into the Vohenstrauß community as part of the regional reform. This made Oberschleif a part of Vohenstrauss.
