Paper mill is a hamlet in the northern Upper Palatinate and part of the city of Vohenstrauß .

Geographical location

The hamlet of paper mill is located in the Upper Palatinate Forest, about 1.3 km north of Vohenstrauss and 2 km north of the A6 motorway . Paper mill is on the banks of the Fahrenberger Bach.

history

In the 18th century, the paper mill belonged to the Vohenstrauss office. In addition to Vohenstrauss itself, this included the places Altenstadt, Fiedlbühl, Ölschlag, Papiermühle, Fürstenmühle, Neuwirtshaus, Oberlind, Unterlind, Obertresenfeld and Untertresenfeld. At that time, Papiermühle had 1 property.

Paper mill belonged to the Altenstadt tax district formed in 1808 . In addition to Altenstadt itself, this included Obertresenfeld, Unterertresenfeld, Fiedlbühl, Kößlmühle, Oelschlag, and Papiermühle.

Paper mill was occupied as a village in 1830. It initially belonged to the municipality of Altenstadt, then through the municipality reform from 1972 to the municipality of Vohenstrauß.
