history

In addition to the Luhmühle treated here, there is another desert Luhmühle near Waldthurn, which is usually mentioned together with the nearby Grubmühle. This other Luhmühle near Waldthurn was mentioned as a possession of the Waldauer as early as the 13th century . There were two further wastelands named Luhmühle (Upper and Lower) mentioned in the 16th century near the village of Luhe .

In the Regensburg register of 1838, Luhmühle is not mentioned under the parish of Roggenstein.

The Luhmühle with 4 buildings is shown on the historical maps 1808–1864 and 1817–1841.

In the official statistics from 1871, Luhmühle with 5 buildings and 8 inhabitants is recorded as part of the community of Roggenstein.

In 1938 the community Roggenstein consisted of the villages Roggenstein, Binnermühle, Hammer, Lämersdorf, Luhmühle, Oberschleif, Unterschleif and Zieglhütte.

On January 1, 1972, the Roggenstein community was incorporated into the Vohenstrauß community as part of the regional reform. This made Luhmühle a part of Vohenstrauss.
